Mine did that too (the static) only the fogs though not the headlights. I even bought a relay and wired it to the battery like the heads are because it was a sugested fix still the same static. So my fix was 9005 silverstars and took the hid fogs out. And to be honest what everyone says about the scattering light is deff true! Atleast on my truck (square fogs 04 xlt sc) the light from the hallogen bulbs is much better tuan the pnp hid. Plus they melted the fogs slightly. So watch out for that. (Had 35 watt 6000ks) but my hid headlights are awesome aimed them down and no static at all on the radio. Never could figuar it out. Good luck though!

Radio static is caused by low quality ballasts that use non-digital circuitry and they lack the proper coverings to reduce the internal radiation within the ballast itself. A high quality digital ballast that is installed properly will emit nothing to interfere with the radio.

I bought mine from DDM, so i thought this kits were very good quality. I usually get the slim ballasts from them and vever had problem until now that i got the raptor ballasts. When i bought mine the guy said that the Raptor were were more durable so thats y i took them.

The only think I can think of is that the Raptor ballasts are analog and the better quality ones (thinner) are digital. I have the digital ballasts and there is no radio interference....but then again, I only listen to Sirius.

I put these on. One on each main line helped a lot, but there was still some static. Maybe if you put 2 or 3 on each, it will go away completely.
