The ones that come with your truck unless you are looking to upgrade.

I ordered a set of Bilstein B6 shocks for my 2012 F-150 4x2 and had my Midas Man install them. The front shocks on my 4x2 are inside the front coil springs, so in effect they are struts instead of plain ole shocks. The front springs had to be compressed to install the front shocks, so the install bill was a lot higher for the front than for the rear shocks. I don't know about the front shocks on your 4x4, but if they are inside the coil springs, then don't plan on a DIY install.

I installed a set of Bilstein 5100 on my 2009. I left them at stock height so they would be equivalent to the 4600s as shown above. I installed the springs onto the new front shocks with 2 sets of spring compressors without any real issues. If you are not sure of that procedure, have them installed by a shop. The rears are simple.

I already miss them on my new 2016 and have only had it 2 weeks.

If you want to save more than a few bucks, buy a pair of monroe load leveling shocks on Amazon. It's less than $100 for the Pair (they are sold in pairs). Easy install, and they are coilover shocks, they will reduce sag by a claimed 400 pounds. I've put them on my last 3 F150 and they keep the truck level even with my travel trailer Hitched up. They also eliminated my Axle wrap on my 10 supercrew. They will raise the rear end by 1 to 1.5 inches but will not change the unloaded ride quality. Everyone talks about bilsteen like it's the only option but they are pricey and I've been more than impressed with the Monroe coilover shocks that I recommend them to everyone.

X2, best bang for your buck IMO. I ran them on my last f150 and just installed them on my new f150, and will run them in my next f150.

You may want to invest in some airbags for the rear.
