WD hitch
I am looking at purchasing a WD hitch it is a Fastway e2 2 point rated at 10K. They have an 8k as well my question is if the max my trailer would be is around 7K should I get the 8k? There is no price difference and the RV dealer is the one who recommended. It’s $430.00

For the same price, overkill is good.

From their YouTube video, the 2 point helps with side to side sway. The 4 point helps with pitch/twisting from side to side. I'm not sure how this translate to real world experience. I only have a 2 point, maybe someone with a 4 point could give their feedback.

I did a lot of research before I bought my hitch. Basic consensus was to match the hitch to the trailer as close as possible. Going way overkill wouldn't allow the system to distribute weight properly. You should also consider the tongue weight as well not just the trailer weight.

4 points of sway control vs only 2 points of sway control.
the E2 is made overseas while the 4pt Equal-i-zer is American-made.
Fastway is a division of Progress Mfg Inc., as is Equal-i-zer.
