Trans Temp Gauge
I have an '18 King Ranch with Max Tow Package. The owner's manual says you can see trans temp by going to Truck Info on the center display cluster. Then it has several options, one of which is supposed to be Trans Temp. Mine stops at Engine Information. I can switch the transmission gauge with the turbo, but it doesn't show the temp. Can't figure out why the manual says there is an option for trans temp but the truck doesn't have it.
Have you cycled through all the options by pressing the up and down buttons on the steering wheel? Not 100% sure about the larger KR display, but on my XLT 302A it should cycle through oil life, tire pressures, digital speedo etc and one page will be the trans temp.
Thanks. I have done that. Actually scrolled through all of them. The funny thing is the manual says it should be there. I've even tried activating tow haul mode to see if that does it but so far it doesn't. I'm pulling a camper for this weekend (first tow in the truck).
My platinum does not display the actual temp either, for some reason I thought it would only display the temp above the digital gauge if it was abnormal. I know there is a FORScan hack to always display the temp.
That's really odd that it's not in the higher trims... Must be somewhere. Hopefully someone who knows chimes in. If anything, you could always add a gauge if you plan on towing often. It's something you should monitor.

On my old Lariat Plus, the steering wheel buttons include an "OK" with 4 arrows (left, right, up, down). While looking at the "Trip A" display, if I press the left arrow, the display shows choices, including "gauges". If I highlight the gauges button then press OK, it shows the digital tranny temp as gauge detail. I don't have any other gauges on the gauges display, but digital tranny temp is definitely there.
Someone else did report that the number will show up above the "gauge" on the 8" clusters when it's above specifications, but I don't know that I've seen that definitively stated versus just one anecdote.
