These work fine and you can take them off to go shopping or something like that. I couldn't stand my factory towing mirrors on my last truck (Tundra) because they were magnified -great if your not being passed a lot and not so much other wise. The standard mirrors are not that bad IMO, But for safety I use the K source ones also.

Thanks for that feedback. I will have a set-up similar in size as you

Just curious what you don't like about the stock tow mirrors? Now having them on both my 05 and now my 15 I will never have a truck without them. Even if I didn't tow anything I'd still have them, for everyday driving they are fantastic.

They look terrible on a F150. Im sure they are very functional, but IMO they look hideous.

Ive towed 7ft wide 29' long trailer with the standard mirrors on my truck and vision was good. I have no need to see who is directly behind me. I only need to see who is aside of me or the trailer or who is coming up on the side behind me.

I just wanted to make sure 8.5' wide was not doable. TBH I dont really want a 8.5' trailer though they are much more common than a 7.5' trailer. Mainly for less wind resistance. 7' would be even better, but that's getting pretty narrow for what I want to do with it.
The trailer will be 23'-27' long and 6'-6"-7' tall. All aluminum. Empty weight will 2000-2500lbs.

I towed this 200 miles one way and back with no tow mirrors-no problem with a 7.5 ft width.
