Default Whats this. (Thanks got the info)

I'm looking at trucks and just wondered how big of a thing this trailer sway control is, like can I get by without it to get a bit better deal on a truck. I haul a 21' tt now with my edge with the tow package and I have an anti sway bar and wdh on it and it moves sometimes in really really windy days had one a couple months ago but if you found a truck with eveything on it you wanted but didn't have the sway control would it be a deal breaker.

Edit ok I think I have this totally wrong. I thought this was an anti sway switch if it's not what is it for as not every vehicle with the tow and power packages has this. Is it vital for towing a tt or not necessary.

I'm pretty sure it's standard on all F150's.

I believe it is a standard feature in any F150 you should be towing a 21 foot TT with (e.g. has a 7-wire harness).

What I'm asking about well maybe it's not an anti sway but it's located on the dial where the 4h and 4L is located. Not all the f150's I'm looking at with the tow package have this option

There is no anti-sway located on that ****. There IS a setting for an E-locker, which has nothing to do with sway. Anti-sway settings are built into the truck, and you can turn it off via the menus.

If what you're asking about is the 2wd/4wd **** being pulled (the icons at 7 and 9 o'clock of the ****), that's for the locking rear differential. Nothing to do with towing unless you tow on loose dirt or in mud and get stuck with one of your rear wheels spinning. If that happens, then you shouldn't be there anyways lol

For what it's worth, I tow a 20 ft tandem axle camper, about 5000 lbs, and never noticed a difference with the sway control on or off. You can turn it off in the towing menu but it defaults back to ON whenever you restart the truck.
