Trailer disconnected message
I haul a cabover slide in camper on my ‘18 2.7 with the tow and payload packages.
The camper is plugged into the 7-way and I have a two element brake light bulb wired in to simulate trailer turn signals that the truck would otherwise endlessly warn me are missing. That’s not the issue.
This is a small yet somewhat annoying issue:
every time I start the rig the “trailer disconnected” alert appears and it needs to be turned off. It then stays off until the next restart.
it there any way to shut off the alert? I know it’s to warn me about an issue with the trailer that is not actually there.

You can go into the menu and select 'disconnect trailer', that will fix it. Someone also recently stated if you unplug while truck is running it will auto recognize that it is unplugged, I will try that this weekend.
Does anybody know exactly what the truck is looking at to determine the trailer is disconnected? I have two trailers, both wired with the same pigtail and LED lights. One works fine, the other keeps telling me it is disconnected as I drive down the road. It did the same thing with my 2017 F150 so it is something with the trailer. If I knew what it was looking at I might get to the problem quicker.
