Trailer Brake Controller
Travel trailer, about 32' overall and 8K lbs. In my opinion this is about the upper limit for a non-HDPP truck that is well equipped for towing
My prior one was about 37' and 9,500 lbs, I could not make it tow "safe" so downsized as I don't want a 3/4 or 1 ton.

Here is a link to a post regarding my 2018 f150 with tow package and no brake controller. Yours may be slightly different being a 2020. There are some you tube videos on how to add and program the TBC.

I have a 2011 f150 and I use an aftermarket controller without issues. I agree it would be nicer to have it integrated but I didn't want to mess with the dealer. Whatever you use, I would suggest going with a proportional controller over a time-dely. It just operates more smoothly. Best of luck!
