Thought I'd check back and let everyone know who helped me how things turned out. I found a local dealer who ordered the Trailer Brake controller and installed it for about $280 or so. It was worth it to me to have them do it and have a warranty. It seems to work ok right now. Haven't tried it with the trailer loaded so who knows.

I tried using that automatic trailer backup feature too. Holy Moly. Is that going to take some getting used to.

Anyway, I appreciate the help! Thanks!

You don't happen to have the OEM part number, do you?

Sure, it's JL3Z-19H332-AA... You can find it at this URL. https://accessories.ford.com/module-...ake-11881.html Just click "Get local pricing" just below the price to find out what a local dealer would charge. Shop around. They all don't charge the same, weirdly enough. Comes with a year warranty from Ford. Which is what I wanted. Make sure they do the programming too.

If your preferred dealer doesn't have it, they can order it. Mine got it in a day.

Good Luck!
