I had a 21' pontoon, I bought used, that was on a single axle trailer and whoever though it was a good idea should not be allowed to make any decisions. It towed fine, weight was distributed good but no matter where I set tire pressures it was bouncy. Didn't notice it much with my 3/4 ton but with the F-150 you could tell.

Murphy bed? No thanx. There are a bunch of TTs with GVW of 7,000 pounds available. Including the Keystone Cougar Half Ton 22RBS if you like Keystone.

What he needs is my TT, Skyline Nomad Joey 196S, GVWR 5600, payload 1650, overall length less than 24', floor length less than 20', regular queen-size bed with access on three sides, plenty of closet space, fully loaded with all the normal RV stuff such as range/oven, reefer, microwave, Sterio, hot water heater, regular shower + sepeate pottie (no sitting on the commode to take a shower), furnace, holding tanks, etc. But Skyline stopped production of travel trailers in 2014, so new ones are probably not available. Here's a used one in the Phoenix area:

You say no thanks but the floor plan of yours shows a lift up bed.

Someone still makes a floor plan just like that, my in-laws have one they bought last year - just don't remember what brand it is.

"Lift up bed" is not a oood description. The plywood base at the foot of the queen-size mattress in my camper lifts up only a few inches - enough to allow access to the storage space under the mattress. The mattress is an aftermarket high-quality full-queen-size 60"x80" residential-quality Serta EuroTop, which replaced the cheap RV-size 60"x74" which came with the TT.

Murphy bed takes 30 seconds to fold up/fold down and I have more usable floor space in my 25' bunkhouse than my in-laws had in their 30' one. I can deal with folding the bed down for that. My wife was opposed to the idea at first but after seeing how much more space you get in a smaller package she was on board, and we're happy with ours.

To the OP: Take a look at the rockwood mini lite 2306 (no slide but a little bigger) I have the 2509S but it may be bigger than what you want. Might also want to take a look at the Imagine XLS 19BWE too

I have a Forest River Wolf Pup 17RP Toy Hauler.. It's single axle.. i love it.. i can put this thing anywhere!! It does bounce some, even with an 800lb quad in the back. And that was also with water in the tank and on a 800 mile round trip haul. I felt every little bump, but i expected that. What i didn't like was the swaying. The single axle doesn't like cross winds.

However i was able to obtain a WDH for free from my older brother. I set it up a month or so ago and talk about a night and day difference. I only towed it to my parents (without the hitch) and home (with the hitch) for a total of maybe 30 minutes each direction. I will be going out on a low trip this coming memorial day with the new WDH, but i can tell you this much so far. I do not feel any of the small bumps any more.. the big ones yes, but it doesn't bounce over the small ones anymore.

A good hitch is worth the price. I was skeptical about the Blue Ox since it really has no adjustments other than ball height and links of chain, but one drive was all it took to convince me that it is worth the cost.
