Hi everyone! My fiancé and I are looking into ordering a new F150. We aren't sure what Ford's towing mirror options are. If we add-on the tow package would it come with better mirros/higher visibility behind the truck? Thoughts?? Thanks!

 

The larger tow mirrors typically are a separate option from any tow package. You can verify on the Ford website for 2023 models

The power folding aspect is frequently CRITICAL to an owner with a normal width garage door.
I park outside but have to get out and fold my mirrors in at the car wash.

That's definitely one way to look at mirror cost. I think in reality the mirrors won't have full functionality without the tow and 360 camera packages. You can definitely just get those packages and NOT get the mirrors, so they don't all go together. Basically once you've already paid for the tow and camera packages, it's "only" $250 or so to basically "upgrade" from the fully functional standard mirrors to the power extend/retract tow-specific model. I'll add it's extremely frustrating to try and find trucks on ford.com or dealer sites that have the tow mirrors.

 

i guess we can agree to disagree (based on the post i quoted). if the only way to get tow mirrors is to buy all the other packaged items as a requirement then yes, mirrors will cost over $2,300. that is unless the post was wrong and you can buy the tow mirrors as a stand alone option for $250 without all the other packages.

 

No, we agree, just coming at it from different assumptions. I wasn't going to buy a truck without those packages, so they are sunk costs to me. Not necessarily to others.
