Default Towing a durango to Florida

Hey I'm looking to tow a 2019 durango to Florida with my 3.5 ecoboost. Any recommendations would gladly be accepted never towed that far.

You renting a uhaul open trailer or have an enclosed trailer.

Have you truck brakes checked make sure you aren't near end of life on pads.

Depending how far your going maybe and lil change before the trip?

You want around 13% tongue weight so you will have to move the car around on the trailer

If your renting a uhaul it should have surge brakes so your good. Any other trailer that has electric brakes you will need to install a brake controller.

Travel at a comfortable speed. Lock out upper gears if you notice the trans shifting a lot. Use tow/haul mode 100% of the time.

Be aware that uHaul auto transports max out at 5290lb and 8cyl AWD Durangos exceed that.
