#41
I have one more question for you guys. How the hick i should find out how much my stuff weights i mean it is impossible to guess-estimate. Plus, my buddy at work told me about weight distribution and how important it is. How can i do that.
It seems like to much work than i ever thought :/

well, I am going to drive 55mph, stop twice and spend couple night in a hotel. I guess this is the way it is. thanks for the help. btw, does these trailers come with spare tires? or I should go to walmart and pick me up couple just in case?

No spare tire comes with it. There will be a 1-800 number to call if anything happens. Best bet is to have a Customer service rep check the tires with you. If you have a bad tire or even a concern ask for a different trailer. Uhaul has there trailer tires made for them. so you probably wont be able to get a match. A spare tire would not be a bad idea but its probably not worth it.

It's a can of goo that is capable of fixing small punctures in tires while they're still mounted. It also reinflates the tire.
Any auto store or Wal Mart has it.
It may get you out of a jam.
For reference, I pulled an 8 X 20 full at 7000 lbs. From Phoenix to Charleston earlier this year. Some 2300 miles.
I had it set up correctly (weighed it 4 times) and had a good hitch. The tires on the trailer were rated at 65 max. I ran 70 all day for 3 days and had no problems.
U haul tires may be another matter, though....

Are you getting reimbursed by the pound or actual expenses? My moves in the military were paid by the pound.
Had to hook up trailer to truck and get it weighed empty. Then load up and weigh on the way out and that gave the weight of goods.
If you are paid by the pound, make sure the full tank is full at both weighs. You could cheat yourself out of some weight if not consistent.
If just reimbursed for expenses. No biggie. You might want to weigh it just for information. For most household moves, you will not overload a UHaul.
Don't go spending a bunch of money for a spare tire. Uhaul is pretty good about sending out a service rig pronto. Of course if you are 300 miles from the nearest Uhaul store, it will take awhile.

I heard i can't use cruise control. Dad said so lol. But he also said to use the manual ****ting while am pulling the trailer. Ok. I thought that was tow haul job???
But my dad is an old man and he is stuck with his way. And he is like you can't control the trailer when you are on cruise. HOW?
