Default Tow Technology vs. Trailer Tow Packages

I am looking at Lariat and on paper I see that a Lariat with the Tow Technology Package has everything that the Trailer Tow Package, though the Tow Technology has with the addition of 360 cameras. On previous models Ford listed upgraded coolers and stabilizer bars on their Trailer Tow Packages. On the 2021 Tow Guide, I see nothing mentioned about upgraded Coolers, radiators, or stabilizer bars like they used to in the past. I posted the question on a different forum, though that didn't help. For more detail, please refer to this post: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/thre...now-stock.834/

I really need a Ford insider to answer this I guess.

When Ford began using the 10 speed transmission they installed an oil to water exchanger down in front of the trans. the transmission oil cooler such as it was that had previously been in front of the radiator went away along with the need of an oversized towing cooler. As far as stabilizer bars I stay away from three legged stools when I'm at the bar.

Seems like we got a joker

I read about a heat exchanger being moved for the transmission on reddit IIRC. So there is nothing additional done to the Trailer Tow Package that isn't on a Lariat+ with a Tow Technology Package? I know the Max tow has a few differences like upgraded bumper, brakes, 3.55 elocker, 36 gal tank, and even possible thicker frame from rumors.

Maybe I should contact the Ford service center? I emailed my dealer and no response in the past 48 hours, but it is near xmas.

Every 10R80 truck is equipped the same as far as trans cooling, with the exception to the Raptor.
If your truck comes from the factory with the trailer hitch, it will at least have the upgraded radiator and fans. It will also have an oil cooler for the engine as well if its an Ecoboost. Not sure it will if its a 5.0.

My 2.7 is pretty well equipped for towing as it has the HD frame, upgraded cooling, Integrated trailer brake controller, and 3.55's E-locker.

You're not going to find any answer worth anything by contacting Ford Corporate, in my experience. Nor by contacting your dealer - unless someone is tightly connected with their regional rep AND the rep knows their stuff.

So I wonder if there is a frame difference? It is annoying I can't find a distinction that is evident.

I was wondering about talking to the service center or something. They could at least tell me if there are parts differences? I don't know why they are selling something without providing any data to explain what you are buying. I just have issues to spend $1,000 on something, when I can't confirm if it has any advantage.

To my knowledge, the only frame stronger than the HD is the HDPP.
Its very easy to identify. The tag is on the drivers side of the frame right under the doors.

Is there a site or link for the F150 that could help me understand when different frames are used for what?

Called the dealer to see if they could shed some light. They said that after looking at the documentation that the Tow Tech can handle the same amount of towing as the Trailer Towing package.
