Default Telescoping Mirrors?

I am shopping for a new f-150 and wondering if I need the telescoping mirrors. I am considering towing a Winnebago TT with a 10'6" body. thanks

You'll need towing mirrors, but I bought clip on that work really great because I only tow a handful of times each year.

You can use the temporary tow mirrors. They will work, but if you really are going to use the travel trailer it’s best to find tow mirrors and swap out your originals. That can be a problem on 2016-2017 Trucks. They say you need to be sure they have the correct plug. I just went through a purchase of 2017 the other day. Had them throw in tow mirrors as my last F150 did. About 24 hours later they contacted me saying they couldn’t guarentee the mirror functions would work. That wasn’t going to work. I need the ability to electronically adjust, defrost, and turn signals at minimum. In the end because they were obligated they made me a sweet deal on a 2018 with more bells and whistles and tow mirrors for a couple bucks difference.
If you already have the truck then I’d suggest eBay as that’s where I got mine fir the 2011. Most sellers will tell you the functions that currently work on your truck will work on the tow mirrors. Price on eBay for new truck mirrors in the 260.00 range. Good luck.

Funny that Ford can't get the mirrors to work but this forum can
