Default Running cable for RVS trailer camera connection

I just bought a used 2018 F-150 super crew cab, with the Max Trailer Tow Package, to tow travel trailer and I'm excited to take it on the road! I previously purchased a Rear View Safety (RVS) wired trailer rear view camera. This has a connector which gets mounted on the real bumper of the tow vehicle and that wire has to be run up to the front of the vehicle in order to connect with the video monitor. I've been looking at where cables are run and ways to run a cable into the cab and I must admit it doesn't seem obvious how to proceed. I would like to simply run it under the bed and come up under the carpet at the bottom of the read door or under the center console, then run the cable along the center console and attach it ot the rear monitor which will be bungied to the rear mirror, just as I did with my previous tow vehicle. (This works out well because when you look at the rear view mirror, you see what you would expect to see!)

I'm sure someone has done this and has some pointers. Any information or pointers to further information would be greatly appreciated!

Somehow in all of my searches, I missed this. I'll look into this as a possibility. Any other suggestions would also be great.

Here's a good place to run cables into the cab on the driver's side, just under the carpet:

That little circle plug goes directly to the outside. Just cut a small slit in it and you're done!

My memory is not the best but this is what I recall from running an antenna coax from the rear.

Near the rear I ran the coax inside the frame up to near the drivers door rocker panel. I had heavy stiff coax, you may need to push through a stiff wire then yours that to pull.

I removed the tread from the rocker panel like you show above. There are holes on the inside underneath that are taped. I cut the tape and ran the cable into the rocker panel and up into the dash. I don't recall if I had to remove the plastic kick panel or not.

I would be concerned about weight/foot being placed on the floor above the cable.

I understand your concern about stepping on the cable, but there is a lot of padding under the carpet and where the cable comes in, it's not directly where a foot would rest, so maybe it'll be ok. I don't see any holes under the rocker panel at all, either on the inside or underneath.

I'm also wondering another thing. Can I run a cable inside this large box beam which goes all of the way from the front to the back?

I think I should be able to fish a wire through the middle of it and it would be well protected from both road debris/rocks as well as exhaust heat.

Ok, I looked around some more and found some other people who also thought of running a cable through the box frame. Apparently, this is a thing and people seem to agree that it's not a bad idea, so... I ran it into the cab through the gasket pointed out above and then all of the way to the back inside the box frame, then mounted my connector on the back bumper next to the license plate. Looks good! For now, I will just plug my camera into the 12v outlet on the dashboard. Maybe I'll wire it in more later.

Running through the frame is fine. I recommend encasing the cable in either plastic flex or liquid tite conduit to protect the cabling from rubbing against any bolts that are run through the frame. I've never had to service a run that I've placed inside conduit.

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback and replies! I have this cable run now. I haven't yet connected it up to the trailer but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. Thanks a lot for the help!
