Wow. My last F-150 beat that, albeit not by much.

In all fairness, most of the F-150's we have payload data for aren't anywhere close to 2,000lbs. of payload capacity. Also, given the actual differences between an F-250 and an F-350 SRW, I could load up a lot more than that and no one would know the difference. I'm either going to air bag it, or at least get the rear block from an F-350 to keep it from squatting down as low when loaded.

I'm quite aware my payload number is way above the norm for F150's. What's sad is that my "above normal F150" is above a F250 in any configuration.

I don't know that I'd call it sad. It's actually expected. I knew there was some overlap between the capabilities of the F-150 with the heavy duty payload package and the F-250's. The same as there was overlap between the capabilities of the Ford Ranger and the F-150 depending on configuration. When I bought my Super Duty, I knew that getting a truck with a lot of options would lower the payload. The payload numbers are roughly where I need them to be. I also know that I can push this truck over the "limit" and not have to worry about damaging it. I can do that with any Ford truck as I've done it with the F-150 in the past.
