It's a 2014 Keystone Outback TRS230. They say it's just over 5,000 lbs dry, so I'm assuming it's around 6,000 lbs wet and loaded. I only travel with one dirt bike and a mountain bike, but I could fit in two dirt bikes if I needed to (it's rated to hold 1,000 lbs in the garage). The garage is separated from the main living area with a sliding door, and there are two fold-down bunks in there.

Regarding the solar panel, I bought the trailer used last year and have upgraded all of the electronics, but have stopped short of installing panels on the roof. That was my eventual long-term plan, but with a ton of other work do to and a couple 6 month old twins I was a little short on time, so I grabbed the suitcase panel for a temporary solution. After using it though, I'm not sure I'll really feel too motivated to mount panels on the roof. We don't really use power much, so even with just the suitcase I've had no problem hitting 100% charge at the end of every day. The ability to tilt the panel towards the sun makes a HUGE difference. I did experiments with the angle where I'd lay the panel down flat like it would be if it were mounted on the roof, and I'd be getting like 15-20% of the charge I was getting from a properly angled panel. So since I wouldn't want to actually angle panels on the roof, I'd need 3 or 4 to get as much as I can from the portable one.

Default Don’t actually tow it. 😂😂

Travel Lite 625SL. Only 1325lbs dry, approx 1700lbs loaded. Installed Fiestone Ride-Rite airbags. Truck handles it like a dream. Went on a 2500km trip into and over the mountains. It’s the best setup ever. Planning a trip into the Yukon with this setup this fall. Can’t wait.

Here's my Casita before I leveled the truck and did bigger tires. I'll have to get a new pic.

I am considering trading my 2018 KZ Connect 24', 6,500 lbs loaded for a 2019 Reflection 287RLTS, 9,495 lbs loaded. Nothing wrong with the Connect, but the one has washer/dryer hook up which the wife wants. After 3 months and over 11k miles traveling, she got tired of laundromats. My truck max tow is rated for 11,900 lbs towing.

My question for anyone towing this size/amount, what are your experiences and what kind of mileage are you getting? Any problems with this size and/or load? For my big trip my average (actual) was 12.3 mpg. That included hills, mountains, highway and regular roads, city, all of Route 66, etc., east coast to west coast. Thanks in advance for any info.

And if anyone is interested, I am asking $21,000 for my Connect. Nothing wrong with it and I ordered it with every option possible. I am in Hampton Roads, Va. Private message if interested, don't want to tie up this thread.

mines a few feet longer, bit lighter unloaded (300lb) and about 2" shorter than the GD, but im getting 7-9 mpg at 65-70mph. Your connect is a bit shorter which probably helps with the mileage. I can get 10-12 mpg at 55 mph if there is no headwind.

You're big factor is going to be payload. Using the 10-13% ideal hitch weight, you're going to be over 1000# on the hitch, especially once you add batteries and propane. Depending on your rated payload for the truck, that's not a lot left for occupants, cargo in the bed, etc.

I'd do some more towing research before pulling the trigger. The tow rating for you truck is pretty useless for real life towing. For example, important to know what your rear end ratio is, especially if your towing in the mountains
Maybe post some more info about your truck, ie: engine, gear ratio, etc.

Speaking of selling and buying, we are giving serious consideration for this model, https://www.collierrv.com/product/ne...getLowestPrice

We have a Coleman 274BH which has been a very good trailer, just we are finding it a bit cramped, especially since the kids have gained a few inches vertically, the couch is a bit short, and would be nice to have more floor space to move around on, and the one linked has it. The Coleman is basically the same floor plan reversed without a slide out, and the couch is against the wall by the queen. It is also 2 feet shorter than the new one, but has the same GVWR, and may be just a few hundred more in weight, but not on the ball. I have calculated out that I can tow an maxed out 8300 pound trailer before hitting the GVWR on the truck so this trailer will be a good match all around.

All hinges on getting a decent price on the Coleman first, and I am pretty sure I can list for $13900, and maybe get $13,200 at the lowest. Trailer with a similar floorplan, but with less cabinet space and cramped bathrooms are selling for more, and this exact model up around here is $14-16K, so fingers crossed I can sell it, provided I can get it out of the barn before May! Damned Ice has the barn doors locked in place for at least another week.

Thanks. I understand about the towing rate and want to stay away from it by a couple thousand just to be safe.

Truck is 3.5 eco, 6 speed, 157wb, RWD, max tow, 7,000lb, 3.55 ratio. Not always in the mountains, just whatevercomes up on trips.
Dry weight for camper is 7,224 lb and hitch weight is 727 lb according to brochure.

Where do you see washer/dryer hook up in the Reflection? I don't think you understood what DMatt13 was saying in his post. That is a lot of weight going to be on the tongue of that trailer.
That is the identical floor plan of the 260RD I just bought. https://www.granddesignrv.com/showro...oorplans/260rd
