Default Issues setting up WDH

I purchased a KZ Connect 231bhkse..! Trailer is UVW 5380 and 7355 GVWR. Dry hitch weight is 710. My tow vehicle is a 2015 F-150 2.7 EB 3:55 gears. Pulled well except for the issues below.

I settled on the Equalizer e4 4 point WDH; 10000lbs 1000lbs bars...Dealership setup the hitch with a dry TT.

I don't think it is setup correctly so I'm here seeking advice...

Took measurements of the truck before this weekends trip. Tanks were dry...

Front;
Uncoupled...37 1/4"
Coupled to TT no WDH bars on ...37 5/8"
WDH bars on...37 5/8

Rear;
Uncoupled...38 5/8"
Coupled to TT no WDH bars...36 1/4
WDH bars on...36 5/8"

Interesting numbers? Even with 2in of sag in the rear of my front did not change?

Why the 2" sag in the rear? Hitch was setup using 4 spacer washers so you know. What feedback do you experts have?

add 1 washer at a time till you get your measurement per instructions. no worries about the sag they all do when you add hitch weight.

2" is still within the soft stage of the first spring, which is why the front didn't change when you installed the bars. MikeD134 is correct. As you get towards reducing the sag to 1", you should start to see the front drop. Keep going until you get the desired results.

Nice trailer, you're going to have fun!

When you have the trailer coupled to the truck, get a couple of 2x6 and lay them under the trailer jack. Now jack the trailer until it’s level m.
insert WDH bars and lock into place.
move jack to travel position.
now let’s weigh and measure the combination.

You need to have the front of the trailer high to do that, and see where it settles once you lower the jack. Having the trailer level is only good for setting the head height.

Is your stinger angle set correctly? My advice is to download the installation instructions for your WD and start the assembly and set up from square one. If it is installed correctly then jack the trailer up, like others have recommended, while attached and set your bars one link shorter than you are setting them now. Drop it down and remeasure. My guess is you will be much happier. I only tow a Starcraft 15RB and I set mine up with the trailer on the tongue jack.

Good news is your trailer doesn't seem to affect your truck much.
Bad news is your Weight Distributing Hitch (WDH) doesn't seem to be doing much either.
Ford says to get the front wheel well height returned to half the change between unhooked and hooked with no spring bars. Not a whole lot in your case. Whatever on your hitch is the next notch would do it, be it a head tilt washer, chain link, etc.
If the WDH isn't working as much as it should, tension wise, neither will the built in anti sway that I think that Hitch has.

Haven't heard back from you. How many washers did you add to get more weight on the front axle? (he has an Equalizer hitch no chains)
