Thanks! That seem like maybe first thing to try as would also improve overall truck performance.

Do you have stock shocks or FX4 package or other??? Appears the Hellwig Rear Sway Bar has 3 settings - which setting did you go with? Also what type/model WDH are you using and trailer weight/length? PM me if you prefer.

Stock shocks, Blue Ox Sway Pro Hitch, 8.5x18+4" V and 7' interior. 6300lbs loaded. I have a thread documenting my journey making this truck decent to tow with a few pages back.

Hellwig on the stiffest setting. Huge difference towing and normal driving. You don't realize how much sway the truck has until its gone.

Oh I can believe it. Just wiggle the wheel when empty and watch as it wallows all over the road.

No amount of equipment will stop or prevent your unit from moving over as a unit when having a tractor/trailer coming at you. If it moves as a unit......it is what it is. If it snakes around, THEN spend money on "equipment" to prevent that. IMHO

Also talked to another 2017 F150 with same truck and Lance trailer as mine and is experiencing none of my issues - he is running with a 6K 600lb bar equalizer hitch...Hate to spent my money on new hitch but if helps overall stability and handled in long term worth it. Would like to take my trailer on long trip this summer with my setup and wife says no way with how my truck handles - and no way she going to let me get another new truck - only have 5k miles on this one!!
I also recommend the Equalizer WDH. My hitch weight approaches 800 lbs, and the Equalizer keeps truck and trailer nice and stable, no matter what speeds past me. I actually back off on the torque setting some (40ish ft-lbs), and she is still rock solid. The only "negative" with the Equalizer is that it is a LOUD son of a gun when you are driving around a quiet campground! We are talking about metal on metal friction for stabilization, after all! I used to feel a bit self-conscious in those campground situations, but not any more.

Finally, I make sure I am one of the SLOWEST vehicles on the highway. I usually do not exceed 63 mph. Trailer tire blow outs are my first concern, followed by the MPG fall off the faster you go. Not that you will experience anything approaching good gas mileage. 9 to 11 mpg is typical for a gas engine, so I hope you have a 36 gallon tank. And don't fool around with over-inflating or under-inflating tires, trailer OR truck. STICK with the PLACARD!

Best Regards,
HDJeff

I went from a Blue Ox WDH to a Propride 3P WDH. Wish I would of purchased it years ago. Trailer is on rails. I tow a Grand Design 650RK 6,300 dry, 29'9" overall. No issues with the new hitch.

I have some jackets and it's pretty quiet. Equilizer is a good brand. I've owned 2. First one I used for a year then sold it when I moved up. Just finished dialing mine in last night. Whatever you choose, set it up yourself so you understand it and can make adjustments on the fly.

OK, you guys have convinced me. The Sway Bracket Jacket it is. I am trying to imagine making my way through the campground on a late arrival, and not waking up the dead!
