that's about the only 2 things I would have wanted had I ordered my truck. 36gal tank and 3.73 gears (especially with my 5.0)

But I'm pretty happy with the 3.55. I rarely tow so I can live with it.

I also question why no 36 Gallon tank, though on the sticker it says "custom order", so I guess some customer ordered it and never took delivery on it. I have seen dumber things where a dealership orders towing package, 3.55 axle, and trailer controller, which ends up costing more than the Max Tow. You get less for more.
I think if you tried the tow mirrors you would never go back. They make the world of difference when towing and extended and are still much better than stock when not extended. The first time my wife drove my truck with the new mirrors she came home and talked about how much she like the new mirrors on the truck and how much better she could see around her.

Night and day and after using slip on mirrors, there is just no comparison. If you have a travel trailer behind you, you really need bigger mirrors to see all the way to the back properly. Slips on mirrors at a minimum.

I might have to give it a try, I just hate going to dealerships. I did hear the mirrors can add a bit of wind noise.

@sixshooter, you have a remarkable payload for a non-HDPP

That truck has an MSRP of $51 and change, not the $56 they are starting at to get to $15k off. If their price of $41 is accurate that's only $10k off which isn't that great of a deal IMO. Lots of dealers have more than that off of MSRP. If you are just looking for the HDPP then that's probably not a bad deal since they don't really seemed to be stocked by any dealers.

HDPP is available on Lariat, but not the technology package, chrome package, etc. I ordered a HDPP in 2015 and 2016 (neither were built). It was ordered the same as this truck except caribou color, tow mirrors, and 36 gallon tank.

Yeah I stated that in the original post. Though as this is a hard to find truck, I thought I would post it.

Bliss comes with the 501a package, and can be added to HDPP in Canada, but not the US. You can't get the 501a w/ HDPP.

Maybe one day they will allow it, adding the extra payload would be nice with some extra goodies.

I'm amazed that a Lariat (which strikes me as a luxury-esque package) can be delivered with dinky wheels and a front bench. So odd.

Those are the only rims you can get for xlt and Lariat for the HDPP. Also you can't have a console with the HDPP in the US, however in Canada you can. This is a heavy duty truck, not your typical Lariat. Beefed up frame, suspension, wheels, and tires. Most people would go with a F250 over this. Though this is more for people who want to tow some heavy, but don't tow all the time.

Just because you need to carry six passengers shouldn't mean that you have to give up leather. Heavy duty payload trucks are built for performance and capacity over just looks. Smaller wheels result in higher towing and work efficiency.
