But not the MaxTow package. UponTheRidge has to have the MaxTow to get the 7650 GVWR.

MaxTow is a lot more than just the 3.73 gearing.

The Limited comes with 3.73's, bigger rad and bigger trans cooler.

When I bought the truck the girl doing the licence plate ask me if I wanted the 7,200GVWR licence plate cost of $70 per year.

Or did I want the 8,400GVWR for $184.00 a year! WTF!!

Maybe for the extra 114 she was planning to print you a new door sticker and give you F250 Badges.

My dealer knew nothing about GVWR, payload, etc. I was fortunate to learn a little bit before making my decision and made sure I got the Max Tow with the 3.73 gear ratio. I will admit I was totally focusing on the 11,300 towing capacity and had never heard about maxing the payload until I found this forum. With the Max Tow, I do have to deal with the big mirrors and have to fold the drivers side in every night to get in the garage, but at least I should be able to tow a reasonable trailer behind it.

The GVWR on my door sticker says 7,200# but my owners card says 7,000#.

I used to haul my 7 X 14 enclosed trailer with a Cadillac ESV with their standard mirrors and never had a problem.

I was glad to get my Limited without the big mirrors as I just don't like the looks of them.

I am wondering if anybody has ever been stopped for their truck being overweight if the *** end of the truck wasn't dragging on the ground.

Stopped, not likely, unless you are are in commercial hot shot hauling. That said, if you are in an accident, and you are over GVWR, payload, or max tow rating, there is the possibility of consequences.

FWIW: 2013 2wd Lariat SCrew EB, MaxTow HD Payload (8200 GVWR) = 2400+ lbs payload rating according to my door sticker (2452?). I will look again tonight. I did not get the bed liner, steps, or bed cover as factory options. This beast tows my trailer with such ease, it is almost scary. I have always been mindful when towing anything. Between the quiet EB, and the six speed tranny, it is easy to go faster than intended when towing.

Kreighoff, the 22 inch wheels and tires must be a limiting factor in the lowish payload rating.

These forums always make people worry and think way to much!

I don't see any problems with my setup. My trailer GVWR is 7,000#.

Empty is weighs 2,180#. My Polaris Ranger weighs 1,550#.

This gives me a loaded gross weight of 3,730#

I changed the wheels but I kept the stock tires.

The Helo 866 wheels have load rating of 2,200#.

Well, there you go. Say your tongue weight is 450-500#. That leaves 625# for you, passengers and gear.

And you don't need a WDH and the hassles with that as you're under 500# tongue weight.

If you are referring to my wheel comment I was just stating that as it hasn't yet been mentioned. I am not worried about your setup one bit as it is your setup just bringing up the 22 inch wheel/tire setup as to why your payload may be lower than similar trucks.
