Default Ford's Towing and Payload Website

Got the brochure for the 2013 F-150's a couple of weeks ago and checked out the payload and towing specs for the 3.5L Ecoboost Supercrew with the HD payload and Max Tow packages and it "WAS" listed as 2620# payload and 11,300# towing. Now their website says you can only get that package in the 5.0L Supercrew and only in the XL and the XLT. What the Heck! Come on Ford, let's get our stuff straight before you let people start ordering their stuff.

well I hope you can still get it on the 3.5... I ordered mine a few weeks ago, waiting for it to be built. but I ordered mine with just the max tow, not payload.

Their website has been screwy lately. Apparently when trying to build a pickup I don't need mirrors

Best thing would be to talk to a dealer as they should know for sure. Seeing as how you can't get MaxTow on the 5.0 it's definitely wrong.

Been waiting to talk to my salesman so I can get it ordered. He's been out with the flu and apparently no one wants to take my order without him being there. Don't get me wrong, I think the salesperson deserves the right to part of the deal since he is the one selling the truck, but to have to wait on him just to order it is a little much. Noticed also if you get the Lariat package that the payload drops to 1660#. Wow is there that much more weight in all the stuff in the Lariat package? Sounds like the Lariat needs to go on a diet! Lol!!!

Brochures say my truck a 2012 F150 SCREW 5.5 Bed 3.5 Ecpboost Platinum with max tow should have 1900 pounds payload. My door sticker says 1527 which is a huge difference. My door sticker says GVWR is 7650. I am hoping to get it to some scales this week to get an actual curb weight. I find it hard to believe that it weighs 6123. My suspicions is that door sticker is taking into consideration the P rated tires on the Platinum and possibly the Lariat. Check the doors stickers on some trucks on the lot similar to what you are wanting to order.

If it wasn't for misinformation, there'd be no information at all. There was much ambiguity surrounding the fuel tank that would be on my 2011 when I was ready to order. My salesman swore up and down that my truck would come with a 36 gallon tank and guess what...26 gallons.

Went by the local landfill this morning for a weight on my truck, 2012 F150 3.5 Ecoboost Platinum 5.5' bed Max Tow, aftermarket spray in bed liner.

WOW it weighed in at 6,110 with me out of the truck and full tank of gas (36 gallon tank). With 7,650 GVWR that gives me an official payload of 1,540 which is only 13 pounds difference from the door sticker of 1,527.

Ford really needs to publish data that is specific to the trim level of the trucks.

I was surprized when I looked at my door sticker and it showed that payload is 1145#!

It is a 2013 Ford F150 Limited Eco. It has the trailer package but not the Max Tow.

From what I have found the Limited already has everything in the Max Tow package but I don't have the big mirrors.

What rear axle ratio does your limited have. My platinum has the 3.73 which gives me the extra 450 pounds of payload. Someone else posted that with the 3.73 you get a stronger axle thus the bigger payload
