Thanks, sounds like a plan. I'll tow it in as is with reducer and just buy the 2.5" shank if they determine the rise and drop on my existing shank won't work in this application.

I was thinking of one like this just to get you to the shop
https://www.rigidhitch.com/products/...ngth,HUB-25509

You would need to determine the drop by measuring the tongue and receiver.

Heres a shank with an 8" rise and 4" drop https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories...BoC6zYQAvD_BwE

Are you measuring the tongue correctly? With the trailer level, measure from the top of the socket to the ground. You will want the top of the ball at that height up to 1" higher. So if the top of the socket is 23, you will want the top of the ball 23-24" up from the ground.

Well, I got 23" to the top of the trailer coupler from the ground. The trailer has auto leveling so is sitting level and that's when I took the measurement. I have to say I did struggle with the auto leveling factor. Is it perhaps higher than 'normal' because I employed the levelers? Should I haul the battery to the storage place and just employ the tongue jack, retract the auto levelers, and manually level via the jack and re-measure?

Measure the frame to ground front and back, that should give you an idea if the ground is level enough for a proper reading. If it is sloped up towards the rear, then it can throw the measurements off. When it is mentioned to have the trailer leveled when setting up the WDH, it is assumed the trailer is on level ground as well.
