Default Enclosed trailer interior lights not working

I have a 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum. I just bought a new enclosed trailer. All the lights outside work but the interior light on the trailer does not work. I have a CURT 58271 Vehicle Socket RV Blade 7-Way Towing Tester. It tell me that the 12v should be on all the time. It is not on. All the other checks are ok. So is there another fuse needed or what is the problem?

With the acc on or if the truck is running. It still does not work. It has nothing to do with the brakes. It is the interior light on the trailer. I don't get the the extra 12v power from the truck to the trailer.

You are not getting the point. Ford does not have constant 12v running to the hitch until a certain conditions are met. Seek out information on the intelligent connection.

After looking, ford calls it a smart connector.

it is neat, I’ve got notifications of trailer lights being out, battery not charging, etc.

When you are hooked up and put the truck in drive, you get a notification that a trailer is connected. That’s when it turns power on

Ok I got it now. I stopped the truck hooked the trailer up. Started the truck, It trailer hooked, I pushed down on the break for 15 sec than check the light and it worked.
Thanks I wish Ford would have made it easyer
