Default "Can I Tow It?" Answer

This video may answer some questions. Not sure if it's been posted before.

I think it has been posted, but it's a great video! and a great starting point for anyone new who is new to this! While it doesn't get into weight transfer with a WD hitch, in reality, if that's what you're counting on to be legal on GVWR and GAWRs, you should probably be considering a bigger truck anyway, if in the position to do so.

He could easily correct his situation by moving some items from the bed to the trailer and using WD to transfer a little weight.

I found it interesting that he never mentioned how he got the actual tongue weight? If that was the published tongue weight of the empty trailer without batteries and propane, then he is over by a lot more than he thinks. Hopefully he put it on a scale.

That video was covered in this THREAD on Wednesday.

In short, that video is good for definitions. Other than that, the spreadsheet and data he uses are misleading.

Had he incorporated the use of a WDH, and actual scale numbers, his information would be much better received.

There are better spreadsheets out there...
