yes it gets installed in the dash just below the trailer backup assist. There should be a little coin slot there now. It may seem involved and the video but everything comes out pretty easily. Like I said it took me 45 minutes or less to disassemble the areas that needed to be disassembled plug in the new TBC and put everything back together. Once you get to the little coin slot there will be a plug in the back of it. The coin slot acts as a dummy plug keep dirt out of the connection. Remove the connection and put the TBC, it's that easy. Once everything is and place the TBC needs to be enabled utilizing the elm327 cable through forscan. You can download for scan from the internet for free. You have to register with forscan to use it. Sign up for the free 2 months as shown in the video. You can always ask the dealer how much he will charge just to enable the TBC once you have installed it. From my understanding and reading other post the dealer should charge 50 to $60 Max to enable the TBC.
