Default Brake Controller, what would you do?

Hi. I want to install an eom brake controller but I do not have the correct fuse box. Not only am I missing a 30 amp fuse in spot #24, it does not have terminals present in spot #24. This is a common issue. I see two choices. I can install a new panel assembly, fuse junction, JL3Z-14A068-E, or I can insall a fused jumper harness kit JL3Z-14A411-C. The first option is $160 and the second option is $30. I have two questions. What would you do? and If I install the new panel assembly do I have to run additional wire to the brake controller or is the new panel assembly ready to work. I know I need to enable the brake controller by Forscan. Thanks!

A lot to follow in this thread save yourself some time and start at the middle. Look at post #290. The inline fuse kit is a lot less work. Either way it seems you will need to run a power wire.
