5th wheel frame
I have a new to me 2016 Laraiat EB 3.5 that was a Canadian truck with 26,600 miles on it. It has everything I wanted on it except 1 item,a 5th wheel (assuming) frame mounted to the bed. It seems like a well cared for, garaged vehicle. Air bags in the rear, hard folding bed cover etc. The original Window sticker is $65,469 (Canadian I assume). Should I be concerned that this vehicle towed a 5th wheel setup? Hopefully I didn't get a ragged out ride. I don't think it has the Max tow package, it has Trailer tow package, 3.55 elec lock axle,36 gallon fuel tank, tow mirrors and trailer brake controller. 501A package. Nervous new owner hoping I didn't mess up.
I have NO intention of pulling a 5th wheel. I hope I didn't buy a truck with shortened engine life that had in the past pulled a 5th wheel.

Without max tow and HDPP your payload of the truck will be your isssue with any 5th wheel. What is the payload capacity and what is your loaded trailer weight. 5th wheels usually have a pin weight of 20-25%.
So if your gross weight is 10k your pin weight is over 2k which I am almost positive is over your payload rating before putting anything or anyone else in your truck. Plus you need the 200lbs 5th wheel mount and brackets.

too late, I bought it already. I have a trailer installer near me, he looked at it and said it was installed professionally with the power hookup inside the bed. I will nervous until I have the truck for a while and see.

I'm not towing a 5th wheel with it. I bought it with 26k miles on it. I have plans to tow a small TT with it and it is my new daily driver. I have no Idea of what was towed with it. It has a rail fro 5th wheel setup ,bed mounted.
It's fairly early in the truck's life, you're most likely aok. Hopefully the PO figured out he didn't have enough truck for his trailer, and that's why it's on the market. Might have just got the 5th and only towed a few times. How does the hitch look? Nice and shiny? Or clapped out, deep scratches on the plate? Yoke all gouged out?
You can check the chassis frame for cracks. Look at the spring bracket welds, any welds in the frame between the spring mount brackets, and around the large oval holes, which are crumple points for collisions. Those are the areas that are most susceptible to failure during overloading.
