Question 3:55s or 3:73s

Looking at a 2013 EcoScrew FX4 with the Max tow pkg and was wondering which gear ratio I should go with. The truck will be my daily driver...150km round trip to work...but I will be towing my TT 8-12 times during the season. I can order the truck with the 3:73 gears or the 3:55 gears here in Canada. Wondering what you guys think?

My trailer... http://www.rvguide.com/specs/starcra...ge/297bhs.html

2012 Starcraft Autumn Ridge 297BHS
Dry weight of just over 6000lbs
GVWR of 7500lbs
Usually run about 6700lbs unless I'm carrying water

Thanks for your thoughts

3:73. That's your best bet in my opinion.

3.73 is the best way to go IMHO.

Get the 3.73, you'll thank us when you are hauling

Get the 3:73. Doesn't really effect daily driving.

Is there a cost difference? If not, take the 3:73 option. Your mileage difference will be unnoticeable.
However, my 2012 has 3:55 and I tow exactly what you have - 6000# dry and 7200#-7400# loaded. My EB pulls it like it is a lawnmower trailer.
Basically, unless you plan to load down your bed (is that why you are getting max tow?), either will tow your trailer with ease.
If you do choose the 3:73 with Max Tow, you would be able to upgrade the trailer further than you might with the 3:55. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

What's the GVW between the two? Here in the states the 3.73's get you another 500# on the rear axle.

if you're getting the max tow package then your gear set is already a given @ 3.73

otherwise it wouldn't be the "max tow package"
