So yes your overall gear ratio will be close to the 3.31 gearing, but with the 3.5 eco and 10-speed I would think you wouldn't notice a huge difference in towing.

I tow 8K of boat/trailer with 285/70r17 tires, 3.5eb, max tow package and AirLift Ride Control bags inflated to 65psi. If you're regularly towing 9K, get an F250.
