No since its titled and registered in OH as travel trailer due to LQ(house vehicle in Ohio BMV speak), none is required. Since for Non Comm vehicles all states have signed MV compact laws, they have to honor the registration and licensing required for operation in your home state. This only applies to non comm vehicles. If I was hauling for pay it would require one.
Now that being said, I have been hauling loads this big since I was sixteen while working for Govt Agencies and Golf Courses. My dad was a 30yr over the road Teamster driver and taught me to back and load before I was old enough to drive.
Horses can be a handful for sure, we haul with 2-3 bags of shavings down to help them keep their footing and keep the floors from getting slick. You can feel them move around a bit even in the big trailer. One of our boys is 1600lbs so when he moves you feel it.
The SD is a beast and tows it well, it has 5800lbs of payload so about 1k left for passengers and gear. If it was a limited vs XL we would be very easily overloaded. I might still add bags as it would likely improve the ride a bit. Once you get into the spring pack she is pretty stiff, also looking at cushioned couplers for the GN so hitting bumps doesn't jolt the trailer so much. We tow 3 weekends a month at least about 9 to 10 months a year and 1 to 2 weekends in the other months. Most round trips are 300 to 500 miles with some closer to 1k.

I am considering purchasing a 2019 3.5L Ecoboost with the 3.55 rear gear.
Can anyone provide feedback on the towing mileage that I might expect when towing a 7,500 pound TT.
Travel speed would be 62 - 65 miles per hour.
You can assume flat terrain with minimal wind speed and regular gas.
Thank You

Well I finally did the calculations from my recent 2600 mile trip out to Colorado and back from KY.
4000 lb camper with 2 adults and some gear in the truck.
Ran Premium fuel the entire trip.
Used Cruise Control and Tow Haul mode the entire trip. Speed was locked at 65 MPH.
Trip out
KY to Indiana got 13.19 but that included about 150 miles not towing.
Indiana to Missouri got 9.5. Started running into head winds in MO
Missouri to Kansas got 10.8. Still with the head winds
Across Kansas got 10.2 and 9.4. Western KS the climb to the mountains starts for real
Kansas to Eastern Colorado got 7.8. Still with the head winds.
Trip Back had strong cross winds from the south
Colorado to Kansas got 9.3
Kansas to Missouri got 10.2
Missouri to Indiana got 10.8
Truck had no issues with trans temps anywhere and had gobs of power even in the mountains.
Most comfortable trip we have ever had!
