Howdy.
I have fuse box with no power to fuse 24. I'm looking at that Ford power jumper above, and it looks to me like its nothing more than a wire with a fuse in it? Am I missing something? I assume it connects to one of the 12v posts on the side of the fuse panel and splices into the pink wire on the pigtail for the TBC? If so it seems simple enough to just make that myself for about 5 bucks. My biggest question is whether it is tied into one of the hot battery posts that I just mentioned, or if it is connected somewhere that is switched ignition power?
Thanks! First post BTW. I not only bought the TBC but also had to by the bumper itself with the hitch receiver and I had to buy the 7pin outlet and the harness that connects it to the vehicle. Hopefully running power to the pigtail fixes everything. I have already had the ECM flashed, just need to get power to the module.
Edit: After looking at the post above again it seems they run the jumper straight off the battery. I guess my only other question would be if the other end is simply spliced into the pink wire on the TBC connector pigtail.

Well I got impatient and just ran a fused 12ga wire from the battery to the purple/pink wire on the pigtail. Everything works now. I was able to fish the wire through the big grommet that is outboard of the vacuum steering on the driver's side. Cheers.

Well I want to install the brake controller in my 2018. I don't have the fuse or pins.
I talked to a couple dealers and one told me it couldn't be installed (which I know wasn't true), and the other said I had to buy the cable.
I then sent an e-mail to Denise that was provided in this thread (Thanks to SWMORAVEN) . I received a reply back from Mitch the CRC Operations manager who wrote the following in return.
"I hope you had a great weekend! There is a fairly simple and cost effective way to address the issue you are outlining. If the BJB does not have the terminals in F24 you can purchase the fused jumper harness kit (JL3Z-14A441-C) from www.accessories.ford.com. Its only $67.21 so it’s a much lower cost to resolve the issue than having the BJB replaced and it does come with instructions for a qualified technician to install."
I'm going to buy the switch and cable and install them myself. The dealer wants $53 to activate so I think I'm going to go the Forscan route using the Forscan thread as a guide. Quick question though is about the OBDII interface. Are there any recommendations as to the best interface? I know a couple are listed but I didn't know if there was anything newer that someone has experience with.
