Default 2016 trailer brake controller

I've got a 2016 f150 4x4 with the 5.0. I recently acquired a travel trailer with electric brakes so I wanted to install the oem brake controller. I have the factory 7 pin connector and hitch. I also checked behind small cubby and I do have the plug there. Called one dealer for price of controller and they gave me part # GL3Z2C006CB, another dealer told me I needed part # FL3Z19H332A, and yet a 3rd dealer told me I couldn't add the oem controller to my truck. I've been researching for days with no luck. Looking for which part I actually need from someone who has done it to their 2016.
Thanks

If I'm not mistaken. I ordered the part starting with the FL from Tasca Ford. I installed it myself and my dealer charged me $120 to flash the truck for it to work and show up on the display and all.

I also used the FL3Z-19H332-AA part number in my 2015. I'm not sure where or when it happened but Ford changed the controller and this was the supersede part number. I bought mine through a Ford dealer internet sales site in Ohio as they were the cheapest at the time.

In my case the dealer I use for warranty work installed it and activated it for me on the hourly shop rate. It took them 30 minutes so they only charged me $45 (1/2 the $90/hr labor rate). Other dealers in the area wanted anywhere from an hour labor up to $150 flat fee. The charges were the same whether they installed and activated or just activated it after I installed it. So it's worth shopping around.

I also purchased online from Ohio source, installed myself and dealership activated for affordable fee that I can't recall.

Just an update...
Ordered part online from Oemfordparts.com and was told I needed part #FL3z-19H332-A. But when it arrived it is not what I needed. I'm assuming what I got is the actual module because it has a mounting bracket. So that FL3Z... number is not correct or they put wrong part in the box. I've emailed and left messages trying to return it and get my money back but it's been a week and they haven't contacted me. In the meantime I went to a local dealership and got part # JL3Z-19H332-AA which was a little more expensive but I got to see it before I bought it. Installed in less then 5 min and then another 5 to enable with forscan. Thanks for the help guys.

The FL3Z and JL3Z cross to the same part. The label that came on my box looked like the one in the link below. I wonder that someone put the wrong label on the wrong box.

Anyhow good to hear you got it all installed.

According to Tasca's site, the xxx-A part you received is correct for that part number

The xxx-AA is the brake controller. Appears that the FLxx-xxx-AA has been discontinued an replaced with the JL p/n
