yes, but do you really have to name the trailer for all lights to work?

lol, at this point, im trying anything.

wonder if the actual 7/4 pin harness is faulty. the fact that the truck sees all lights as working, even though the trailer itself had one brake light out, and when i try blinkers, brakes, nothing happens on the trailer. my buddies 2011 f150 works fine with the trailer.

When you hook up to the 7-pin the trailer should automatically be added as I recall. I also know when I was getting the false trailer disconnects all of the running, stop and taillights continued to work. This makes me think they are always active but I could be wrong.

Im trying to understand the 2 posts of you saying the truck shows lights working....i think your going through the wrong screens.....went and played with my 16 to see where it would show lights working....the only spot was a checklist....which is stupid for new towing people...

This is what I see when I had my buddies rv hooked up to the 7 pin under light status. When I apply brake or turn, nothing happens on dash or on trailer. Only think on trailer is running lights.
we hook the trailer to his truck with 7 pin, and he gets running, brake, and turn.

Yeah it's a lariat. From everything I've seen online. That's what the screen should look like with good working lights. They would be highlighted in yellow and show which light also in yellow if one was fault.
