Default Refresh issues?

Samsung Internet Browser on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

So before anytime I'd been away from the site when I would visit I would go directly to new posts. Now when I click it it immediately gives me a you must wait 5 seconds before you can refresh error message.

Also before, after reading a thread, I could click the New Posts button at the bottom and it would take me right to the list if new threads no issue, now it too tells me I have to wait 5 seconds before I can refresh.

This issue started about 3 days ago for me. Also sometimes users' post text is the same color as the background on dark theme so I see blank posts on Mobile like this.....

There are two different issues.

1. Regarding the post text is the same color as the background on dark theme. This is a known issue with mobile and occurs when someone specifically hard-codes a text color. This can occur if the poster copies and pastes. That is the case for your example. The poster used the text color #333333, which happens to be a dark gray and so it blends in with the background.

2. Regarding the refresh error. It's possible your browser is using a VPN. Or, is it refreshing in the background when you open that tab? It's also possible it's simple a cache issue with your browser.

Edge desktop browser just started doing this for me. Never did before.

Did you folks make a change to the software settings? That wait is certainly configurable in vBulletin.

Very well aware of the settings. There has always been a flood control and that's pretty standard, too. So changing that, short of disabling it, won't do anything for the issue you're reporting. It still sounds like a cache issue or possible VPN with the browser. It would also align with the OP's comment of not being an issue with Chrome.

Well aware of it as well, as I ran vBulletin forums for decades, I'm the Director of IT for my $300M/yr company, and I have been in IT for ~35 years. I've been on these forums for 12.5 years.

I was just sharing that this JUST started happening at the same time the other user mentioned it, and NOTHING was changed on my end (not a caching issue, not using VPN). It's happened on multiple devices with multiple browsers.

Take it for what it's worth, but perhaps don't take it personally.

I didn't take it personally, which is why I didn't state any qualifiers However, I do have some personal and professional experience with the software for the last 20+ years. Additionally, the vBulletin software and Internet Brands are part of the same company.

We're looking into the issue.

Thanks.
