Focus RS
Curb weight: 3434 lb
Zero to 60 mph: 4.6 sec
Power: 350 hp @ 6000 rpm
Torque: 350 TQ @3500 rpm
9.8 Pounds/Hp
9.8 Pounds/Tq
Volkswagen Golf GTi
Curb weight: 3116 lb
Zero to 60 mph: 5.9 sec
Power: 220 hp @ 4700 rpm
Torque: 258 lb-ft @ 1500 rpm
14.2 Pounds/Hp
Conclusion: The Focus Rs is 31% based on power to weight, you lose.
Once you factor in that the Focus Rs has Awd and launch control compared to Fwd and inferior traction control, you are still at the starting line watching him drive away from you while you pick up your jaw. LOL

I was full bolt ons. The focus RS is grossly overrated on power, while the GTI has been proven to make more than advertised to the WHEELS. The RS has to be in dyno mode to even come remotely close to advertised power. People have seen around 280 horses to the wheels in "dyno mode" (front wheel drive only) while my GTI made over 230 horses on the stock tune. I had 335hp/380ft Lbs to the wheels after a tune, downpipe and intake.
My GTI with bolt ons and a tune made more power to the wheels than the "horsepower" of an RS.
Now if I spent the extra 6-7k for the Golf R, still paying less than an RS, it would be the same story. Gaps for days

You take a 5.0 mustang and do full bolt ons you'll be at 700 whp easy.
Then compare it to a gt350 mustang, you'll smash a gt350 for way less money.
Thats every car in the world, aka stupid comparison (full bolt on gti vs stock Focus Rs).

The GT350R and Raptor's do, but the GT350's shouldn't. They're not rare anymore. Most dealerships around here ask about what the sticker is, maybe up to $5k more, but that's about it. If I could afford a GT350, I'd never pay more than sticker. Too many out there to overpay.

wait. what?
You can do bolt on's and gain power a lot of power in most cars, comparing a stock car to full bolt ons is stupid.

Typically when someone says full bolt-ons or FBO that would be header/intake/exhaust/cams. Pretty much everything minus Turbo/Supercharger/nitrous.
