Schmitty's 2011 FX4
Howdy everyone!
This is my first ever pickup truck, my second truck ever. My first was a 2002 xterra with 170k+ miles... So it was time to get a new one.
Here is my new truck! Picked up this mint girl, with 58k miles! Looks like it was garage kept, maintance routine done at the dealer every 3k miles. Very clean inside and out(few dings here and there, but nothing big)
Here she is!

First week of getting her... Added two big things!
Custom fabbed a L bracket and placed my 40" curve light bar behind the grill. Works flawlessly. Love it.
Got a toolbox with some fishing rod holders from a friend. He was going a different route for his truck so he parted his toolbox to me, which was a plus didn't want to spend $300+ for a new one...

More shots of the light bad... Recently added a second one... In the lower part of the bumper. Haven't seen any differences in performance with it partially blocking the intercooler.
I think I did decent in setting up the wires, etc. just need to clean up where the relays are and such.

Thanks mom for breaking my passenger door handle. Quite an easy job to do and change out. Few bolts and few other things.

Getting some Tow Mirrors here in a few days... Someone wanted to trade them for my standard Mirrors. Heck, why not?! Also ordered window vent for my truck as well, so those will be here in a few days. Can't wait to get that put on as well, along with my new 3rd brake light (mine is cracked and broke), scored a OEM from FB with LED lights for $40 so figured why not get it replaced before it starts leaking really bad. May tint it, going to practice with my broken one first before I go ahead and do the new one.
Also got a 170 thermostat a few weeks ago, need to install this, but first I am getting a monitor to watch my temps before I install, then going to install it, then monitor after. I will post my results after I get it installed.

I had chrome and black emblems, and wanted to change it to black and grey... Not a fan of chrome at all...
For most, I will say removing the emblems wasn't as bad as some say. Take your time, and it'll come off. PATIENCE, is the key word here. Get some fishing line and work your way around the emblem. They have two (2) clips each to align and mount them, so beware when pulling it off so you don't break those off.
When you have the emblems off, and separating the outline from the letters, SLOW down... Say a few F BOMBS, and slowly take your time doing this because it is tough, but it will come apart. Each emblem took me about 10 minutes or so to separate, didn't want to break them so I took my time.
Washed the emblems with dawn dish soap, dried em, and got them ready for painting... Put a few coats on, let them dry over night... And turned out very well in my opinion.
Also did my mirror reflectors... They came right out, if you put a flat edge on the OUTSIDE part of the reflector... Comes right out. Clean them, and painted them.
Here's the pictures! Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions.
