Default McClintoc's Machine

Just bought my F-150 a couple days ago and then joined the forum. My previous truck was a new 2001 Silverado 1500. I didn't start modding my Silverado until about 2 years ago but once I did, I was hooked. So, I'll be modding my new F-150 little by little. This thread will by my progress journal and photo album. Enjoy!

November 7, 2015 - new, OE:

2015 F-150 XLT Texas Edition
5.0L V-8, 2WD, 6spd auto, towing package

As of this post, I have already ordered some WeatherTech floor liners.

Did several free mods today:

Changed wallpaper on 8" MFT screen

Removed front air dam

Installed hose clamp on tailgate hinge

De-badged the tailgate

[photo came out blurry - will take another tomorrow]

I also just got a FedEx tracking email for my WeatherTech floor mats.

Used this awesome stuff called Goof Off to remove some of the left-over adhesive after de-badging the tailgate then took a much better photo:

Woohoo! My WeatherTech floor liners arrived today. I'll get them installed this weekend after I take a heat gun to them to take out the creases from being stuffed in a box.

Floor liners are in. The rear liner fits great. The front liner could use some adjustments at the factory.

I laid them out in the sun for about an hour while I thoroughly vacuumed the carpet. The heat helped them loosen up a bit.

And later today I'll be meeting forum member RickJrMendez in Dallas to buy his OE black grille.

I also ordered a 2" leveling kit today but I probably won't install it until Christmas.

Ordered a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler and a pair of LEDs today. The lights will go under my rear bumper so I can see better when backing up at night.

These are the LEDs I ordered These are the LEDs I ordered

I plan on doing both mods over the Christmas break.

Keep us informed I've been looking at the 40s. I'm also looking for some LEDs for reversing, but can't decide if I wanna put bumpers in first

I had a Super 50 on my old 4.8L Silverado. It gave off some sound but was definitely not loud. I am hoping the Super 40 will be exactly what I am looking for.
