Thanks Dave! I’m waiting for it to get dark out so I can test my under hood lights. I don’t understand why ALL cars and trucks don’t come with some kind of light in the engine compartment. They used to, most cars anyway!

Not bad for a cheap LED strip. Casts pretty good light over the entire engine compartment. It will light automatically when the hood opens once my tilt switch arrives.

I was looking for a tilt switch awhile back to do the same as you, never found what I wanted.

I found a good switch on Amazon ( see above post )! The light output is great. It wasn’t completely dark out when I took the pictures. In an Emergency , I’ll be able to check under hood fuses, fluids etc.

No detail today. Decided to do some mowing instead. Doesn’t make sense to clean the truck today and mow tomorrow kicking up a ton of dust.
