Yup. Turbo's are already dirtier running engines, the Ecoboost engine specifically was used as a test mule for the oil industry's latest SP oil standard, which primarily looked to address the ability to better handle soot deposits (remember the timing chain wear issues?) Soot is a normal by-product, the oil's job to suspend it and keep it "away" from the contact surfaces. It's not something that a filter takes out of the oil.
There is only so much that oil can contain/hold etc. so changing the oil more regularly, will clear the byproducts from the system, stopping it being reliant on technology and prayers to keep them in suspension.

New mud flaps and some recommended 3M ppf will be here tomorrow. Just not sure if I’ll have enough day light to get them installed. I leave at 5am on Sunday to a work conf in St Louis for the week. May be next weekend before I can properly cut and install the ppf, then the flaps. All depends on FedEx. 😂

FedEx showed up early…delivered my packages to the neighbors house, but I got them.
Test fit looks nice. I can see where they will rub against the fender flares, but not the body of the truck. Either way, I have some ppf coming from Amazon today via USPS, so I’m going to install a piece between the fender flare and mud flap. Overall, I like the look and they seem sturdier than I imagined they would. They even have metal support gussets. I’ll get a few installed pics after I get the ppf installed and fully bolt these down.

On my 18 I trimmed them and were fine. I guess it depends on lift, tires and offset.
