I've had my truck for about 2 and a half years now and I figured it's time to start documenting what I have done so far into a build thread and have a place to post future mods.

my truck is a 2014 fx4 5.0L with the appearance package in tuxedo black. Only thing I upgraded from the dealer were tow mirrors.

mods so far include (in the order they were installed):

Line-x bedliner
20" eBay light bar in front bumper
25% tint on front doors and 5% strip on windshield
Avs rain gaurds
Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tires - 285/55R20
Front and rear oval emblem overlays
Interior led lights
Backrack
2.5" rough country levelling kit
1.75" bora wheel adapters

That is beautiful!!!! I freaking LOVE the 2013-2014 FX4's, especially with the 6.5' bed. I'm glad you're keeping it simple, it's perfect.

thanks a lot man! Really appreciate it. Just got a few simple astheitic mods I want to do and probably an exhaust for now. And eventually a new set of wheels and tires! Your truck looks amazing too btw!

ill trade wheels and tires 😉 Haha. I'd actually really like to get new truck with your body style but honestly I love my truck, and especially now since I started do a few mods that make a big difference in the look of it I don't want to get rid of it at all haha. How are you liking your ko2? I'm debating on going with another set of ATZ P3 in 35s or something like that or going with a ko2 🤔

My wheels are ok, I LOVE my tires haha. They are literally as quiet as stock, and I only lost 2 MPG. I'll take that going from 32's to 35's.

Why would you want to get rid of your truck for the new body style? I guess it's personal preference, but you have what I guess could be considered my dream truck haha. If I wasn't so upside down on mine, I'd trade it in for a 2013-2014 FX4, preferably 6.5' bed. There's just something about them.

thats not bad at all for the increase in tire size! I never off-road other than gravel roads so the tire is basically just for looks and increase in size. And i just really like the look of the new body style, they have grown on me a lot. Don't get my wrong tho, I LOVE the look of my truck so I probably never will trade it on a different one.

That's pretty much what I bought the tires for, looks and size.

I wouldn't trade your truck in, but if you do, you should get a pretty penny for it. It's extremely sought after. The original owner of my roommates '14 FX4 is a member on here and we talk to him every now and then. He traded in his truck last year, a year after he bought it, and was given more for trade in than he paid for the truck new. That's insane!

thats insane! I guess you guys live in the states? I live in Newfoundland, Canada and the markets are bit different hear. I'd say I'd still lose a good bit on trade judging by other people's. That's what really makes me want to keep it. I'm only 22 turning 23 this year so I'm a couple years I'll be looking to build s house so I'm not going to be wanting to get into a new truck payment. I'd mine doesn't give me any trouble, which it hasn't, I'd say I'll have it for a very long time
