Foxbody82's 2017 RCSB Build Thread
#11
Sorry guys, but work has been keeping me really busy here lately. A quick update is nothing other than stock performance related. Truck has been ran a few nights on the street against other similar vehicles. A few rcsb 5.7 rams, some rcsb 4.8 and 5.3 LS trucks, and even some older big block muscle trucks. So far in stock configuration other than the lowering it has outran all of the above including a tuned 15' rcsb ram. These trucks even with no tuning are holding their own against other trucks. Only one newer style truck I haven't ran and thats a 6.2 GM truck. I hear they are tough. Right now I am waiting on a short parts list which includes:
Oil/Air separator by ford performance part #M-6766-A50. This kit looks much nicer and almost factory to me than the JLT set up (hope to see the same results as a JLT setup)
Cal trac Bars part #7314 (this kit is for trucks where the rear has been flipped on top of the spring. It is not listed on their website, but they have a #7310 for rear ends beneath the spring if you for factory set ups.)
I went with Ken Osbourne for tuning and his Omega Tune through a BDX tuner. Excited to get it in and have some test hits. I am sure after a revision or two this truck will be a low 8 second (1/8th) truck tune only on 20's.
Once we get through racing season I plan on ordering my Circle D converter. Going with a 258mm 3C converter per Chris at Circle D. This converter gives me room to go in any direction whether it be nitrous, turbo, or blown combo.
After converter wheels and tires are a concern.
I should have some time slips listed on here in the next few weeks if I can get away for a night.

Was wondering if op is still around?
I am interested to see what he has done since the last
post.
