Yeah! I've taken it off before. I've just heard with some kits the headliner needs to be pulled down in order to get to the connector. Hopefully I can come up with those Hella lights here soon.. My truck needs them!

Here are my Line X pictures as promised! They did a GREAT job! Should have had it done a long time ago. Sold my plastic liner the day after I took it out. Came out to be a heck of a deal!

that is a sweet job they did on that bed, looks awesome congrats

On respect to the hella tails I'm kinda pissed off right now because last night it rain heavily in miami and this morning I found some moisture inside the left tail , the right tail and the cab tail are fine tought, this makes me mad because I sold my oem tails allready, I contacted the seller about it and still waiting for a response.

Jono I still have not received a response about your lights, as soon as I get it I will contact you, have you been able to talk to the guy?.

Thanks for the comments guys! I love the spray in Liner. Can't believe your getting moisture in them. Did they look packaged as if they were new? Think maybe they were sent back and they figured to just sell them on ebay? Hopefully that's not the case and they can do something for you. I might just go and buy them on yellowandbluelighting.com for what they are asking. At least I know they can get them from Hella since they are right next door. I'm desperate at the moment for those lights! Keep me updated.

ok so I took out my left tail light hoping that I had made some kind of mistake when installing the sockets but it turn out everything was in order, however I noticed that the upper socket was not as tight as the lower, this could have allowed the moisture to penetrate the housing, so i got me a piece of cork gasket and cut it to fit, then installed both gaskets together and it was a tight fit!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for tonight to rain heavily so I can see the final results, there's no way moisture will get inside from the socket now... if it still catches moisture that tells me the housing is mess up somewhere.

Here's a few day shots that I had promised yesterday, second picture is a close up of the celis technology ( same as bmw) , in the last you can notice a slight bump that is not present in oem light and gives a more agressive cool looking style. Enjoy Jono!!

WOW!!!!! Those are some nice pictures of the lights. Hopefully that trick does the job for ya. Lets just say I have my order in with yellowandbluelighting.com and i'll be counting down the days til they arrive. Look sweet man! I'm paying a bit over $300 for them but I feel they will get them to me quickest so what the heck. The lights look awesome on your truck bud! They should go very well with my red truck! BTW! check this link out. Replace that reverse bulb with some LED bulbs. This guy shows ya how to do it. I've already ordered and got these 921s as I was expecting the taillights to show up alot sooner. As soon as they arrive I'll be performing this mod. Replaced all my other bulbs with LEDs so I might as well stick to it as I never have to worry about my bulbs being out.

Thanks for the compliments bro ... if you don't mind me asking... how much did you paid for the line-x ? I have plans of doing it to my bumpers, if they can match the color and texture of my tonneau cover it should look sick!!

No problem man. I paid $375 to have my bed Line X'ed however I use to work at a car dealership and got their rate as apposed to the retail price. Retail price here is $499. I'll tell you what though.. It's indestructible and looks so sweet! I've head of alot of people having their bumpers sprayed and really liking it. Check into replacing those reverse bulbs with the LEDs. I have to say the LED mod has to be the best cheapest mod I've ever done!

a little update for you Jono, the seller at ebay does not have another kit of hellas and he said he was very sorry about my issue, he will try to get me another single left unit or refund me the money, I'll be glad if he gets me another unit but if that is not possible then I will not return it as the issue is indeed the tightness of the socket and the trick I did solve the issue...last night I sprayed the light with the garden hose and today it was dry inside like the sahara dessert!!

I hope you don't run into issues like I did and that you get your hellas asap.Next mods might be magnaflow and intake, or both bumpers linexed.
