Went to my local HD and picked up 2 #10-32 x 5/8 expansion/well nuts, 2 10-32 x 3/4" SS socket cap screws (The expansion/ well nuts and screws came from the specialty fastener drawer) and a bag of SS #10 washers. For Installation a drill, 3/8 drill bit and a 1/8" allen wrench.
Does the OP notice any performance improvement by relocating to one side? To me it does spoil the symmetry of the front of the truck, it's his truck he can do with it what he likes.
My question is does it really need to be relocated? I assume you did this due to having an ecoboost.
That's exactly the reason. Ford should of given you the option of purchasing an offset plate bracket for this situation if you purchased an EB F150 IMPO. The 14' EB you could get an aftermarket LP frame that would replace the black bumper insert, but on the 15' It's all one piece so that wouldn't work.

As for Symetry.. It's a truck not a runway model . I'll probably add a black frame around it to blend it somewhat.
Don't know if there is any performance improvement, but common sense says if something needs airflow to cool down why would you block it with a solid object. Try covering the vents on an AC or fan... Not gonna cool much efficiently.
