Howdy!
Finally getting around to starting a build thread for this rig. I bought it several weeks ago - a 2016 F-150 XLT 302a Sport4x4 SCAB dressed in Magnetic Metallic with the Ebony sport interior. It has 202k miles on it, but you would never guess - it drives like a brand new truck and doesn't look half bad either. It came with a full front end of Morimoto XB lighting and a nice set of KO2s. So far I have:
Lubed the sticky tailgate handle
Shined up and Cerakoted the faded headlights - also troubleshooted the lack of DRL dimming
Installed and ran wiring for my bed toolbox - its got a light setup that I have power run from the BCM for
Replaced a bushing in the sunglasses holder to restore its slow-open function
Repaired the glovebox damper
Replaced the CAF and EAF
Replaced the USB hub and updated my SYNC to 3.4 with CyanLabs for CarPlay
Repaired the rattly center console lid - found a token from a Florida pirate festival of all things inside
Installed a DIY rear seat release strap
Replaced the crappy aftermarket tow mirrors with a set of OEM power/heat/dim/signal std mirrors
Got into Forscan and did all the common mods - Bambi, steering fogs, extended stereo playtime, 5 signal blinks, tweaked seat temps, etc
Installed OEM trailer brake controller
Greased slip yoke and replaced rear leaf tip isolators
Replaced clockspring - "volume up" was occasionally registering as "mode"
Replaced CHMSL/Cargo/Plate lamps with LED bulbs
That's it so far. Planned mods include puddle lights in the mirrors, clearance lights in the lower air dam, OEM ambient lighting, and a TrueTrac in the rear. It also is due for a full suite of maintenance.

More to come!
Okay!
My father has a '21 XLT, and I noticed that adjacent to each of his map lights are two small pin hole LEDs that shine down on the console. I wanted to see if I could replicate this with mine...
I started with a set of hobby 5mm RGB LEDs. I found that connecting the blue and green anodes together was a pretty good facsimile for Ford's ice blue color. I did some research, switch backlight illumination comes into the large overhead console connector on pin 10, purple/grey, and the ground is pin one, black/yellow. I simply wired this LED to these pins with a 1kohm resistor in series. Then, I drilled a small hole (~2mm) in the middle of the mesh-looking plastic between the rear window switch and the glasses holder. I glued my LED atop this hole on the inside, and when it was all said and done it was a pretty dang solid little hour-long project. The amount of light it provides is intentionally subtle, but I feel it provides a nice touch, and it's about as effective as the OEM Ford style in the '21. Pics!
Pretty sweet IMO!

No pics yet, will get em after school, but just installed Lasfit floor mats front and rear and an OMT tailgate damper. I am very pleased with the quality of both, particularly the mats. I used to be a Weathertech-or-die kind of guy, but honestly the Lasfit mats fit better than any Weathertechs I've had recently. Tailgate damper is really nice, but I do wonder how it will hold up long term. Time will tell!
My Dee Zee tailgate damper has been in since around fall of 2018. Has a little bit of rust but still works just fine. I know I've opened the tailgate like 7 times since then too so you know, quality stuff.
