Well, it doesn't feel right sharing my bargain hacks with you given the product design capabilities you've shown... but since you asked for bike rack ideas that don't diminish bed functionality...

I built this for about $15. It's very sturdy, yet light, and I can throw it in/out of the bed as needed. You can alter to accommodate more bikes as well.

Good ol PVC pipe. Works good for just about anything. Especially home made bottle rocket launchers

I'm using our Riser Mounts (https://www.builtrightind.com/produc...mp-riser-mount) but you can definitely do it using just a single 1/4-20 bolt through the center of the clamp.

Hey, I love a good DIY, especially for $15! This is a great solution. I think if you did a little write-up with a parts list, you'd have more than a few people wanting to build them.

Haha, I just retired a potato cannon that I build as a kid. Figured that after 20yrs, it might be less safe than it was originally. Charged it to 80psi one last time and lost that potato in the sky!

I'll post more pictures of the process, maybe as a different thread if I have enough for a guide, but I installed a Lowrance HDS-7 GPS/Fishfinder yesterday. Used a couple of prototype products that I've been cooking up and everything went together nicely. I LOVE these RAM mounts and was glad to have finally arrived at a nice way to mount them.

Location is super adjustable, wiring is 100% plug-n-play with no splicing and the best part is that I can remove it in a second (like I did tonight, when parking in a dark lot at a movie theater).

Haha, my truck isn't such a bad place during ice fishing season. Great way to find a nice spot on the lake.

Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. It was a little strange seeing the CAD for parts that I designed. Lol

I have access to CAD for almost any Ford vehicle, but no time to do personal projects.
Have a lot of stuff planned and started...

Ford makes the data available to certain aftermarket businesses for the development of aftermarket products.
