BoostedFX4 Build Thread
Hey guys! I joined last summer when I was looking for a new truck to replace my '04 Z71. Last fall I listed my Z71 to see if I'd get some good bites with winter approaching and got a pretty fair offer on it so I sold it.
Literally 2 hours after I sold it I was at home working and came across an ad on facebook for my new truck. Drove out to St. Louis on a whim that next afternoon and got home around midnight with my new truck.
Here she is the day after I got her. Still factory tint, and a dealer emblem on the tailgate:
That next weekend I had an appointment to get my windows tinted and my dad mentioned his car club was having a BBQ contest on one of his friends land. Being that I love guns, beer and BBQ, I offered my dad a ride if I could tag along.
A few weeks later I took the day off to go kayaking. I couldn't resit taking a couple photos on the boat ramp.
I found a K&N CAI on eBay used for about half off
Shortly thereafter I was on a local craigslist swap shop and found an ad for factory 20's. I was the first to respond and setup a time with the seller to meet as soon as he got back in town from opening day pheasant hunting. 2 of the tires were toast but two have about 2000 miles on them. I picked up 2 matching Scorpion ATR 275/55/20's later with 2 months of use for $100.
A little Black Friday shopping.

Installed the Bilstein's myself in my dad's friends garage. Went with the 2nd tallest setting for a 1.5" level to leave a small rake.
Post level with the 18's back on it.
Beau Allen Rogel had a bunch of Kicker Soundstage upgrades real cheap and when he posted that he was down to his last 10 or so units I made sure I got one.
Install day
Leveled on 20's
WeatherTech FloorLiners
Diode Dynamics License Plate Lights
Roush Boost Gauge
New Plugs and Coil Boots at 45k mi
That should catch ya'll up on my first 6-8 months of ownership.
Current Wish List:

A lot of it is copied over from F150Ecoboost. I joined here first because I was contemplating which to buy but after buying one I spent most of my time over there reading up on the drivetrain. I've been lurking over here a lot lately looking at wheels/tires as that is my next big purchase so I figured I'd post up my truck on here as well.

Thanks! I think I need to bump the Bilstein 5100's up to the top notch at some point but that probably won't be until the Spring. Too darn cold right now.

How are you liking those Bilsteins? My step dad had them on his Titan and HATED them, said it rode so rough. But I would imagine his ext. cab is much lighter then our trucks so maybe the extra weight helps smooth them out.
