Fronts are on the way to me. Hopefully have them by the weekend and will plan to install next week some time.

So my fronts finally made it to me. I haven't had a chance to wrap the bits I want to and install though. They are pretty to look at though.

On another front, I am a bit of a sticker nerd. I like to rep the companies I use, the bikes I ride, and the breweries/coffee shos/bars/shops I visit. I have been collecting stickers on the bottom lip of my cap. However, I am running out of space.

So I thought I would wrap my tailgate with clear vinyl and then start putting stickers there. I started off well(ish), but then with the curves and contours and stuff I started to get frustrated. Then I realized how much of my Sunday was going to the truck and not my girls and got frsutrated. Tried to rush the job. Ended up looking like ****.

I plan to be peeling all of that off. I don't think I am going to try again. It was a waste of time and money. If I decide to continue with the stickers I will just stick them on the paint. I was trying to protect it as much as possible, but then I realized, why? The truck already has 110,000 miles on it and I plan on driving it for a long time. By the time I am ready to get rid of it, I can remove the stickers. Just gonna send it.

I've also added a Garmin dash came with a dongar power adapter on the rear view mirror. Nice clean install, but haven't caught anything fun on the cam yet. Hopefully have more to report in the coming weeks with the King suspension install and some mudflap ideas I've got working.

Driving to work the other morning and a damn deer ran out in front of me.

Immediately pulled over and didn't see anything catastrophic. Got to work and just thought I had a cracked grille and some fur on the bumper.

Next day I pulled the front bumper to install the King reservoir mounts. and found that the grille was worse than I thought. Bottom was hanging on by a thread, multiple grille shutters were broken, and the front badge/camera is being held on with one clip right now.

I did finally get my Kings installed all around. No pictures of that yet though. Will try to get some after the alignment this afternoon. I did smash my ****ing finger between the wheel and disc though. Had to go to urgent care to get it drained this morning.

Oooh boy, you got that one pretty good I'm not surprised there was so much 'hidden' damage, it was hit so square that it likely pushed everything back evenly on both sides.

I smashed my finger today between a 10mm wrench and a traction arm when loosening a bleed nipple, nothing as bad as yours though!

Yeah. It hurt like hell. The killer is that I not only smashed it between the wheel and the brake, but also on the brake caliper when the socket slipped off the swaybar endlink and on the fender when the prybar slipped off the stock coilover during its removal. I made up cuss words on that last one. It has been draining since Friday morning though, so almost back to normal. Anyways, onto the pictures.

The Kings went in fairly well except for the passenger rear lower shock mount that had to be massaged with a sledgehammer to realign it. That is from a previous driver error. At some point, I need to find a good 4WD shop to replace the mount for me, but for now I should be good. I also had to trim the front mounting tabs of the RCI skidplate because they conflicted with the reservoir mounts. Pictures below. Finally, I did vinyl wrap the front reservoirs and complete shock body/reservoir in the rear. It came out better than the tailgate, but still not perfect.

The truck rides soooooo much better now. My lady even commented about how much more planted and stable the truck rides now. It was a long wait to get them and get them installed, but very worth it. I think I gained about another 1/4-1/2" of height in the front and still have about 1" of rake. Everything aligned well and got rid of the little rubbing I still had.

Finally, I cut down the front mudflaps massively and reinstalled them. I am just trying to keep a bit of slop off of the side of the truck. I will probably do something similar in the rear to keep muck off the taillights. I remember last winter having a bunch of buildup of slush on the side of the taillights because of the wider tires. I may also try to fabricate a longer removable mudflap that I can mount behind the front wheels that will keep **** off the running boards and rear shocks.

Looking good, and dang, those wheels

I can tell you that those front flaps aren't going to help, see here for where mud got up to on mine with Gatorbacks. Also realised this was with my old wheels/spacers, so about a +20 offset and not the zero we now both have.
You can mentally draw a line to see what i considered a somewhat crazy line up from the wheel to the body

Thanks for the info man. I got the +25 offset version of the 703, but still good info to have.

Ahh, i forgot you went with the 18's(?) so you could get the +25 offsets. Still, i think it'll be similar to how my pictures showed. FYI, nothing on the taillights in that setup. Snow has the chance of being slightly different, depending on snow type and time drive i think.

17x8.5 with a +25. The 17’s come in both a 0 and a +25. I knew I was going 315/70, so I didn’t want any poke or extra rubbing issues.

I just kind of like the look of the mini flap too. For winter I am looking to maybe fabricate something more like the gator backs with even more coverage. I had also toyed with the idea of midflaps for the winter to protect the new shocks. I don’t want them to end up rusty like the Icons did.

Meh, that salt's a killer, you need to get up under there weekly during the salt days and just blast with a pressure washer.

Ignore all my wheel comments, it's been months and i remember that, stupidly, Method have 'restrictions' on which size, colour and design you chose as to what you can get. So i can't get that spec in the gloss titanium, i was stuck with a zero offset.
