Andy's 2014 F150 FX4
Hey guys, been a long time member and even longer lurker here on the site. Have had my truck for a decent amount of time and have all kind of mods done to it. Figured it was time to make a build thread and show off some pics.
2014 F150 FX4 5.0 purchased new in Sept '14. Bone stock!
Started out by removing the factory Pirelli's and installing 285/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s and then at 16k miles I had the F150Lifts coilovers and rear shocks installed. They are now HaloLifts, but I'm sure most y'all know that lol.

As most of you keen eyes can tell, there are Raptor running boards on it, Recon smoked side mirror LEDs, stubby antenna.
At the hunting ranch!
Was moving all around south Texas at this point so pictures are probably out of order. When the G2s were worn out, had 275/65/20 G2s installed as I had damn good luck with the previous set. Had 55K on them when I decided on new ones.
Raptor exhaust installed but left the resonator in. A perfect tone for these 5.0s, in my opinion.

Quick snow picture for when Harlingen, TX (about 15 miles north of Mexico) got snow. It ain't much, but it's a helluva lot for this far south Texas.
Moved back to Houston around this point and decided it was time to upgrade the suspension. The F150Lifts/HaloLifts coilovers treated me fantastically for 3.5 years and 75K miles. They were needing a rebuild and I contemplated selling the truck at this point. Decided against it as it was paid off and I was enjoying not having payments. So I waited for the Black Friday sale at Icon Vehicle Dynamics. Purchased a Stage 4 suspension system from them. 2.5 coilovers up front with remote reservoirs, Icon upper control arms with their Delta Joints, and their 2.5 remote reservoirs CDCV for the rear. Also had a HaloLifts aluminum Raptor style tapered rear blocks installed. And I was running 295/60/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers at this point as well. I received a company truck at this point so I was barely driving this truck. Wanted a more aggressive tire and suspension to do more trail runs and off roading.

While I really liked the factory FX4 rims my truck had, the clear coat was beginning to peel really bad and I didn't want to deal with having them repainted. Used it as an excuse to purchase a set of Method Grids 20x9s. Completely changed the look of the truck and made me like it even more! This is how she currently sits.

Made a trip to the hunting ranch around Thanksgiving of last year. Needed to bring a pallet of corn with me so this was a decent tow test for her as I had never really towed much with her ever. Tandem axle hydraulic dump trailer and a pallet of corn. I estimated it 4,500 lbs trailer and corn. Truck handled it fine! Ran it in Tow/Haul and locked out 6th gear down the highway. Ran about 70mph no problem.

Made a trip to one of my most favorite areas, Big Bend National Park. Really wished I would've taken some more pictures though. This is the only one I have. For anyone that's been there, that is the Chisos Mountains in the background.

Thanks, fellas! It's been fun having such a reliable truck that's performed in any situation I've asked of it and easily taken to all the mods that's been done to it, ha! While I'm really liking the 2020 F150 Appearance Package models, I'm trying to hold to my original goal for this truck and take it to 200k miles before getting a new one! I drive about 40k miles a year in my company F150 and another 10-15k miles a year in this FX4. I may not have the patience to wait for 200k, but we will see. Y'all don't hesitate to reach out with questions or comments on any of the equipment I'm running or ran in the past!
